Inspired by the example of St. Francis of Assisi, the friars of the Province proclaim the Gospel not only through preaching and sacramental ministry, but through their very presence, fraternity, service, and witness of a simple Gospel life.
Much of the Province's missionary presence is rooted in rural and economically disadvantaged areas, where the friars accompany communities with limited access to pastoral, educational, and social resources — striving to bring the message of Christ closer to the people and to build Christian communities rooted in faith, fraternity, and mutual care. This work is carried out through the proclamation of the Word of God, celebration of the sacraments, catechesis, pastoral visitation, preaching, faith formation, youth and family ministry, and the animation of Basic Christian Communities, alongside village visits, prayer services, retreats, and other faith-formation initiatives — always in the spirit of Franciscan evangelization: simple, joyful, fraternal, and close to the people.
